Color Me Mine

Last night we went to Color Me Mine, in Draper. When we got there I asked Nathan what he wanted to paint and he said "I probably should paint you a plate since I broke one a while ago." LOL He did actually brake a small plate about a year ago, no big deal but I guess he remembered! He ended up (with a little help) picking out a mug and saucer plate.

Look at the concentration!
We had a good time! I recommend going on a Monday night, it's much cheaper. We will be picking up the mug and plate on Friday, I will post the finished product then!

What we've been up to

First off, soccer game Saturday-we accidentally were scheduled to play a 5-6 year old team, needless to say we got our butts handed to us on a platter but it was still fun to watch.

This picture makes it seem like we did well..

Gavin falling asleep during the game with his Papa.

Moving on to Kenna's birthday. Check out this sweet picture of Gavin having a horsey ride and wearing Grandpa Paul's hat.
Nate cleaning up his face after 3 pieces of chocolate zucchini birthday cake

Soccer practice last night...
I told Nate to go and get his soccer uniform on, and here is what he came out in. Thanks again to Aunt Deb for the sweatband and wrist band- he loves them.

The coach started with some stretches and jumping jacks. Most of the kids couldn't do the jumping jacks and just jumped.

Practicing hard

Had to have a little play time before we left. I just love the afro with the sweatband.

Superman

Now that it is not scorching hot-we have been spending a lot of our afternoons outside. Nate's favorite things lately-being superman. He flies (jumps) off a lot of things and I just sit there and wonder if today is the day we will go to the hospital with a broken bone.
Meet Addy. Addy calls Nate, "curly Nate". When Addy and Nate play together it typically consists of Addy being the mom and carrying the baby doll around and Nate being the Dad pushing the stroller and following her around everywhere. I think he thinks the stroller is boy-ish because it has wheels. Picture of Addy and Nate below- filling up plastics sacks with wood chips and dumping them out-so fun.And of course Gavin, laying on his blanket out on the grass happy as can be.

A favor please...

Hello to our friends and family who blog...may I ask you a favor ?

If you have our family blog listed on yours can you please remove our last name? With Robby's line of work, it's best that our family is not search able on the Internet. I am happy to be listed, but we just have to be safe than sorry. I hope you understand. Thanks much!
Now of course I had to post a picture. This is Nate. He woke up from his nap today, came in my room and talked to me for a little bit and then dozed off on the floor. I don't know how that is comfortable!

Silly me.

It came to me. Last night when we got home from the soccer game I thought to myself " I could blog tonight..." So I pulled out my camera and put it in a dumb spot. Well after baths, getting pj's on, bedtime snacks, reading books, and brushing teeth- I wasn't up to the blogging. So today as I chatted with my sister on the phone and observed my messy house I saw that camera of mine. Woohoo! So here it is my friends... the rest of the soccer story-
Nate's bedtime prayer on Monday night....
Heavenly Father,
Bless dad that he will get home safe.
Bless me to be good at soccer.
Bless me to not pick up the ball.
Amen.
How precious is that? He is too cute! Here are the pictures..
Excited for the game!

Cheering on his brother... or at least wondering what the heck he is doing and why is mommy yelling?!

Gavin when we got home.

P.S. Thanks to Lissa for being my back up! LOL

1st Soccer Game

Somewhere between the soccer game last night and going home I lost our camera. I'm still investigating and searching like mad.. but I just wanted to say the game was awesome! The coach asked me to keep score, and I kind of laughed thinking that there was no way anyone was going to score.. but I was soo wrong! Nathan's cousin Dallin scored 3 goals and Nate scored one himself! We had a ton of fun and can't wait for more games. If I find my camera I will be sure to post the pictures...if not... I'm counting on Melissa to put them on her blog.

Too big

Gavin has out grown his infant car seat and he is movin' on up to his new big boy seat. I wish he could stay in the infant car seat a little longer but he is just too big! I can't even carry it with him in it anymore. So here is my little Gav trying out his new seat...

It even has a cup holder- he already likes it.That is all for now. We are off to the library and then we are going to find some shin guards for Nate. That's right, I am now a soccer mom.

Papa's Birthday

For Papa's birthday we headed to Jumpin' Jacks out in West Jordan. The things my parents will do for their grand kids! Happy Birthday Papa!
Here is Nathan, preparing Papa for the slide

Just look at my mom's face. LOL

Nathan just having great time on the obstacle course
Some how, we convinced mom to go on the slide again and have an all girl race. I counted 1...2...3! and noticed my mom wasn't moving- so I grabbed her foot and pulled her down with me.

Nate playing basketball

Gavin did this the whole time. His top teeth are making their way in and I think this makes him feel better.

Stampin' Night Out

Last night I went to Sharie's calendar class with my sister Melisssa. There is nothing better than stamping, food and friends! We all had a great time chatting together and we even finished our calendar( in 3 1/2 hours)-woohoo!

Melissa being the perfectionist she is.

Jennelee and SharieMe showing off some of our cute pages, Melissa thinking I'm a dork.

Thanks Sharie!

The weekend

A few highlights from the weekend...

Nate riding Charley at Gardner Village

Great Grandma Ray and Gavin going for a walk

Saturday Nate and Robby went to the U of U football game. Me and Gavin stayed home and tried to enjoy the quiet but I actually found it really strange. I ended up doing a little scrapbooking and a little cleaning- yay for me!

Sunday Gavin had his first 4 wheeler ride around the yard. Gavin was super laid back about the ride, he just sat there. He didn't even flinch when Robby turned it on.

Back to School

Today was Nate's 1st day (but second year) of preschool. Nate is super excited to have his cousin Dallin in his class this year. Dallin and Nate are best buds and I'm sure are going to have a great time together this year! But I don't think Ms. Jenny knows what she is in for!

Here they are just before school started...

Nate holding his project from today

here is a close up- he has huge hands!

Now for another video. Gavin just loves his big brother Nate. Nate is always doing something silly to get Gavin to laugh. Take a look! (Sorry I couldn't figure out how to flip it around!)
