Taste Tester

I was upstairs doing regular mom stuff when I hear "Mom I need you" from Nate. I so calmly say "what do you need?" and start to walk downstairs. " I need you to eat some food". Me thinking "huh?!" So I go to the kitchen and I find a very excited and proud 5 year old presenting me with this:

Made it all by himself for me. So I say, "um how is it?" and he says "I haven't tried it yet." Me thinking how lucky I am to be the guinea pig of Nate's cooking. I then suggested that we try tasting it at the same time.
So he goes ahead and shows me how he makes his masterpiece.
Then, a true test of motherhood. I ate it.

11

11 is the number of nuggets Nathan ate tonight. Along with a bowl of fruit and a vanilla ice cream cone.

I think I will start taking donations to go towards my grocery bill.

This Kid

This adorable boy is 18 months old (and a few days, I'm a little late) He is full of personality and just plain cute. Right now he is into building with blocks, anything with wheels, and anything outside.
He is also into climbing more than ever which keeps me on my toes. Unfortunately no matter what I do, he still is falling a lot and learning the hard way.
Yesterday he climbed up at the kitchen table all by himself.
He was so proud.
So was I.

Love you Gavin.

First Day of Kindergarten

Last week Nate started school. It was a rude awakening. I thought maybe he would be scared, but no. We get there and he was like "see ya mom!" He is loving every minute of it.
